LOGAN — Logan native and Nashville recording artist Sharon Hardman performed for her third time on the stage at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee, for the 35th anniversary of the Sunday Mornin’ Country Show sponsored by the Music City Christian Fellowship.

DAR celebrates Flag Day

The Elizabeth Sherman Reese Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, commemorated Flag Day on June 11, 2015, with a luncheon at the Lancaster Country Club. The annual celebration began with a stirring Presentation of the Colors by the Lancaster Police Honor Guard and a piper, Shane Ronan.

One of the most controversial topics this week in The Logan Daily News has been the non-renewal of the boys basketball coach John Helber’s contract by the Logan-Hocking School Board. The decision made in the school board meeting Monday night has upset many in the community and our Facebook readers have responded with the following comments based on a story written by Janey Saving on Wednesday and a column by Craig Dunn published Thursday:
