Ewing Grange #2028 met recently at the Grange Hall with 16 members, two junior grangers and five guests present. Worthy Chaplain Joan Fink gave the table grace for the carry-in dinner. Worthy master Carolyn Kienzle opened the meeting with members saluting the flag.

Members will meet at the Kroger parking lot at 6:15 p.m. to go to Bishop Education Gardens’ Recycled Holiday Event, hosted by the Hocking County Soil and Water Conservation district on Thursday, Dec. 6.

Master Kienzle recognized two 25 year members of the grange. A letter of congratulations was read by lecturer Jenny Houchin from Ohio State Grange master Gary Brumbaugh. Worthy master presented Theresa Enderle her “Silver Certificate.” Angie Keynes was not present; she will receive her certificate and letter at a later date.

Jenny Houchin, lecturer had as her program “25 years ago.” Asa Houchin gave a reading and Jenny Houchin read “Holiday Safety Tips.”

The next meeting will be Monday Dec. 10 with a Christmas Dinner at 7 p.m. at the hall. Members will meet at 6:15 p.m. at Arcadia Acres to sing Christmas Carols and present a gift to each resident before going on to the meeting.

A gift exchange will be held along with the program preceding the ham dinner.
