LOGAN — The Hocking County Historical and Genealogical Society will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. today and Saturday this weekend. A revitalized display area on the second level of the main museum will feature a replica of a 1912 one-room school, complete with the familiar portrait of George Washington and a 48-star flag.

LOGAN — The Logan-Hocking Board of Education recognized 12 employees at the board meeting Monday evening who announced their retirement. The retirees include Debbie Cherry, Barb Crawford, Steve Dietz, Susan Dietz, Pam Harden, Colleen Pritchard, Kathy Mara, Debbie Penrod, Brenda Sharb, Stan Wilson, Jackie Duffy and Judy Wolfe. The board members applauded the retirees for their dedication to their professions throughout the years and extended well wishes to them during their retirement years.
