Joy E. (Graves) Garber passed away at home on June 30, 2011, after a battle with ALS.

Joy was born the second daughter of the late Harold D. Graves and the late Joanne E. Shaffer on Feb. 21, 1950.

Joy leaves behind her faithful puppy, Prancer; three sons, Cory (Vicki) Miller, of Meridian, Idaho; Maciah (Leda) Anderson, of Heath; and Brady (Courtney) Anderson, of Heath; two grandsons and three granddaughters who meant the world to her.

Joy also leaves six sisters, Judy Lowrey, of Xenia; Marcia (Bruce) Driscoll, of Boise, Idaho; Sharon Fortner, of Columbus; Jane Homer, of Spring Branch, Texas; Chris (Harry) Hrenda, of Johnson City, Tenn.; and Lorri (John) Miller, of Frandfort; seven nieces; eight nephews; nine great-nieces; five great-nephews; Uncle Curt (Louise) Graves and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by a nephew, Johnathon Michael Miller.

Joy was a graduate of Laurelville High School.

A celebration of Joy’s life is planned for Sept. 24 at the farm. Friends are invited.
