LOGAN — FAIRHOPE Hospice & Palliative Care addresses the needs of the community by providing compassionate, individualized hospice care, including inpatient hospice at The Pickering House.
Since 1982, they have been recognized as leaders in hospice and palliative care. They enhance quality of life for patients and their families by meeting the emotional, spiritual and physical needs of those they serve by honoring life during its most difficult times.
They maintain their core belief that patients should be allowed to complete their days in peace, without pain, in the company of loved ones with their comfort and dignity preserved.
FAIRHOPE’s team of highly dedicated and expertly trained individuals include physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, hospice aides, social workers, chaplains, bereavement counselors and trained volunteers.
FAIRHOPE Hospice & Palliative Care believes that every moment counts. That’s why they are 100 percent committed to supporting patients and family members in every possible way from symptom management to spiritual and emotional support and bereavement services.
They accept all eligible patients regardless of their ability to pay, complexity of care or severity of need and as a gift to the community offer free grief services for all ages.
In 2017, FAIRHOPE Hospice & Palliative Care was named Large Business of the Year by the Lancaster-Fairfield County Chamber of Commerce. They also recently added The Anita M. Turner Center to its campus at The Pickering House. The center is a home for grief support, allowing families and individuals a place to share their grief in a calm, peaceful setting. FAIRHOPE’s free Family Grief CAMP is also offered at the center.
In the past six years, FAIRHOPE has cared for nearly 5,000 patients. FAIRHOPE serves Fairfield, Hocking, Perry and the surrounding counties. Their Logan office is located at 96 W.
