Dear Editor,

It’s almost that time of year again. The Hocking County Fair will soon be here. I, like most people in Hocking County, look forward to the fair. It’s a time to go and talk to your friends that you only see every year at the fair.

It’s also a time for the youth to display their hard work with their 4-H projects. I would urge buyers to come out for the Jr. Fair small and large animal sale, the kids put a lot of work into their animals.

I would also like to thank the buyers, the local businesses in and out of Hocking County as they do a wonderful job of supporting the youth.

There are a lot of good things about our small town fair. Unfortunately, like anything else it only takes a few bad apples to ruin the whole thing. I would urge people to buy a voting pass, know who is on the Senior Fair Board. Some of these people have lost sight of the fact they represent the best interest of all the people of Hocking County. They are not there to party with their friends.

If there are rules to be followed, they should be for everyone, not just for a select few. Please buy a voting pass and get the bad apples off the board, these are the board members who no longer have the best interest of our small town fair.

Sincerely,

Larissa McManaway

Logan
