LOGAN — On Tuesday, March 21, the Chief Logan FFA Outdoor Power Equipment team traveled to Buckeye Hills Career Center in Rio Grande, to compete in the district contest.
During the contest, the students completed eight stations, which included areas of precision measuring, electrical, tool identification, part identification, engine repair, troubleshooting, etc. This is followed by one team station where the three students must complete the task working together.
The Chief Logan team represented the community well placing first at the contest. The team was led by sophomore, Blake Jordan who placed first individually; followed by junior, Colin Rimkus, placing third individually; and sophomore, Erik Stufflebeam placing fourth individually.
Since the team placed first they will be traveling to the State Outdoor Power Equipment contest on April 23, at The Ohio State University ATI in Wooster.
A job well done by these students.
