NEW LEXINGTON — The New Lexington High School Drama Club presents the “Miracle on 34th Street”, performing the play for the community under the direction of Kelly Wells and assistant director Terri Studer.

The story takes place in New York City, and spotlights on the results of a department store Santa Claus who claims that he is the real Santa.

The production will take place Nov. 15, 16, and 17. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. The cost is $7 in advance and $10 at the door. Advance tickets can be obtained by contacting any student in the play or calling the high school office at 740-342-3528.

This year, there are 55 middle and high school students in the annual fall play held at New Lexington High School.

Randall Tolley, a junior at New Lexington, takes the lead this year, playing Kris Kringle. This is Tolley’s fifth production with the drama club and his first time in a leading role.

“The play is just delightful. It is fun and good for the family, a really nice way to start the holiday season. I love being Santa,” he stated. Tolley has been growing out his beard since August so that the play’s Santa can have a real beard for the production.
