LONDONDERRY — Two Hocking County brothers were involved in an accident Saturday, with one pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Jackson Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers responded to a one-vehicle fatal crash that occurred on state Route 327 in Vinton County near the Ross County line Saturday afternoon.

Jeremy Holbert, 32, of Londonderry was driving a 1991 Ford Mustang westbound on state Route 327 when he lost control after a curve.

Holbert’s vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway striking an embankment and a tree. Also in his vehicle were 26-year-old twin-brothers, Troy (Doug) and Raymond Reynolds, of the Laurelville and South Blomingville areas.

Raymond Reynolds was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Vinton County Coroner.

Doug Reynolds, as well as Jeremy Holbert, were airlifted to Columbus hospitals with serious injuries by AirEvac and MedFlight.

Those responding to the scene included the Liberty Township Fire Department, Laurelville Fire Department, Vinton County EMS, Vinton County Sheriff’s Office, AirEvac, MedFlight, Vinton County Coroner Doctor Christine Kremer, Hill’s Funeral Home and Sprouse Towing.

The crash remains under investigation.
