LOGAN — Crabtree’s Logan Sales Company will celebrate this Christmas season by hanging a giant, eight-foot tall, toy-filled Christmas stocking in their store and allowing customers to register for a chance to win.
Each entry will cost participants only $1, with no limit on the number of entries one can procure. The lucky winner will be drawn and thus notified the evening of Dec. 18.
All proceeds will be donated to Shriners Hospitals for Children, a non-profit medical organization consisting of 22 facilities across the country.
“Children with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate are eligible for care and receive all services in a family-centered environment, regardless of the patients’ ability to pay,” as stated on their website, www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org, where you can also donate directly.
Richard Crabtree, the owner Crabtree’s Logan Sales Company, thought up this fun giveaway stocking and subsequent donation as a way to promote the spirit of Christmas and the nature of giving.
“This is a win-win situation. Not only does the drawing winner get to take home something truly awesome for Christmas, disadvantaged children will benefit as well. What’s better than that?” Crabtree said.
The stocking will be displayed in the store, available for those who visit to view in all its glory. It is stuffed to the brim with licensed and name-brand toys for both boys and girls of any age and is valued at over $120.
Entry forms for this grand contest are located at a register within the store’s checkout area.
Terry Headley, an employee of the store under current ownership who has also worked over 40 years alongside the previous owner, stated, “This is really what Christmas is all about.”
If you shop at “L.S.” currently, you can’t miss the stocking as you are checking out. If you don’t, now might be a good time to peek in and check out all they have to offer while entering this unique giveaway and contributing to a truly Christmas-worthy cause.
