LOGAN — The Hocking Valley Quilters will be sharing their talents with our community and visitors with their annual quilt show located at the historic Bowen House through Saturday, June 29th.
The show features quilts made by local quilters and includes an array of styles, designs and colors. Included will be hands-on demonstration by the quilters and an opportunity for visitors to try both hand and machine quilting.
This year’s featured quilt artist is a mother/daughter team. Shirley and Teresa Fulk from The Plains. Shirley hand-quilts all her quilts and taught her daughter, Teresa, the love of quilting. Howard, Shirley’s late husband, cross stitched many of the quilts that Shirley then hand-quilted.
The Hocking Valley Quilters annual raffle quilt this year is a beautiful basket designed queen sized quilt called Gatherings. It will be on display and raffle tickets available for sale during the show.
Admission to the show is free and everyone is invited to visit the show from Wednesday to Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m.
During this weekend’s Washboard Music Festival, hours will be extended from 12 to 5 p.m.. In addition, private tours are available for groups by calling 740-385-0236.
