LOGAN — The Bowen House announces its next concert in the Parlor Concert Series on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m. A concert for voice and piano will feature baritone Jackson Savage and pianist Jeff Daubenmire. These talented artists will perform the music of Gershwin, Menken, Schwartz, and more.
Savage is a Cincinnati native who moved to the Athens County area in 2014. He has attended Hocking College and Ohio University where he is now a senior in the BFA Performance program.
He has been seen in OU Productions Cabaret, La Mujer Barbuda, and Failure: A Love Story as well as productions with Ohio Valley Summer Theater and Athenian-Berean Community Players. This spring he will also be performing in Romeo and Juliet in Ohio University’s Forum Theater.
Daubenmire serves as Associate Director of Music at First United Methodist Church in Athens, where he plays organ and piano for weekly worship services, accompanies the choir and solo musicians, and coordinates the Artist Series as part of the music ministry of the church.
He has produced and released five albums and continues to work and perform collaboratively with internationally known artists and other regional musicians. Jeff holds degrees in music education and educational administration from Ohio University and is currently chief of staff at Hocking College in Nelsonville.
