The Hocking Hills Inspire Shelter in Logan reports that it is in need of dinner donors for the following dates in January:
• Thursday, Jan. 7
• Saturday, Jan. 23
• Wednesday, Jan. 27
• Saturday Jan. 30
Please call the homeless shelter’s office at (740)-385-5116 to coordinate if you are able to donate a meal.
The shelter is also in need of more monthly dinner donors. If you are able to donate dinner on a recurring basis, please let them know.
The shelter also extends thanks to donors for their support during its Giving Tuesday campaign. Inspire reports that it more than doubled its original fundraising goal of $2,500, and ended up raising $5,645. These funds will make up for the major fundraisers the organization lost due to COVID-19.
Hocking Hills Inspire Shelter, according to its website, provides temporary shelter, fellowship, guidance, resources, and encouragement for those who find themselves living in a place not meant for human habitation. It provides a temporary home and work to inspire its residents to obtain the resources necessary to embrace the next chapter of their lives. The shelter offers assistance to those experiencing homelessness in Hocking County, and coordinates its services with other government agencies, health services, and religious and social organizations.
