LOGAN — On Thursday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m., Honeyfork Lads and Lassies held its second 4-H meeting, which took place at the American Legion in Logan.
They accomplished many things during the duration of the meeting including election of officers, organizing their community service plans, and arranging dates as well as places that the following meetings would align with.
The election of officers went as follows; President Jordan Green; Vice President Tiffany Stevens; Secretary Trinity Rafferty; Treasurer Taylor Stevens; Community Service Mason Rafferty; Health Officer Brooklyn Adkins; Safety Officer Savannah Green; Recreation Lillian Stimmel; Historian Jonah Green; and News Reporter Trinity Rafferty.
After the election of officers, club members proceeded to develop a discussion about community service projects. Members established that they would continue to place American flags and markers on veteran’s graves throughout Ewing Cemetery, which is located on 93 South, Logan.
A Cloverbud, Miah Baker, came up with the idea that the club should assemble birdhouses, which then could be taken to long-term care facilities. The residents of the facilities could watch the birds interact with the houses; it would keep them entertained and happy.
The club then organized the project registration paperwork, and arranged the following meeting. The next meeting was scheduled to be at the American Legion at 7 p.m., on March 27th.
