LOGAN — The Logan-Hocking Library Bookworm Kids’ Reading Club’s first event is scheduled for no school, deer hunting Monday, Dec. 2, at 1 p.m. with the introduction of Dewey, the Library’s Elf on a Shelf and new book release How Do You Know Winter’s Aglow by local author Betty White Jenkins and local illustrator Marjorie White McVey.

This will be followed by Christmas caroling to the Hocking County Courthouse and back with free jingle bell bracelets and Santa hats. Kids of all ages are welcome. If a kid reads 25 books they can select a prize and if they read 100 books in a year they will receive a Certificate of Accomplishment.

Future dates of the Bookworm Kids’ Reading Club are no school days at 1 p.m. at the library on Friday, Dec. 27; Monday, Jan. 20, 2020; Monday, Feb. 17, 2020; Friday, March 13, 2020; and Friday, April 20, 2020.
