LOGAN — Hopewell Health Centers, Inc. announces the promotion of Kristi Pennington, LISW-S to the position of Hocking County Behavioral Health Clinic Director upon the retirement of current Director, Sue King, to take place on Sept. 11.
Pennington is a lifelong resident of Hocking County, and graduated from Logan Hocking High School in 1997. She subsequently obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology from Dennison University and a Master’s Degree in social work from The Ohio State University.
Pennington has been employed by Hopewell Health Centers, Inc. for the past 13 years and has been instrumental in developing school based mental health services in the Logan-Hocking and Logan Elm School districts.
She has been an active member of Ohio Council, a state mental health advocacy organization, and served a term as Chair of her committee from 2017 to 2019, representing the needs of Southeastern Ohio Rural Appalachia, including Hocking County.
Pennington is looking forward to serving her hometown community, where she and her husband are raising their family. She states that she is honored to be able to “give back to the community that gave me so much growing up.”
