LOGAN — The Scenic Hills Senior Center monthly carry-in club met on Oct. 26, with 36 in attendance. Susan Swart welcomed and thanked everyone for attending.

Patty Edgar decorated the tables in a beautiful fall theme. Those attending the dinner for the first time were Tommy Dale, Pat Sammons, Judy Clark, and Marian Orr.

Celebrating birthdays were Judge and Mrs. John Wallace. Wedding anniversaries were celebrated by Patty and Buck Edgar, 57 years, and Leonard (Butch) and Sharon Myers, 55 years. Hocking County Auditor Kenneth Wilson gave the blessing for the meal.

After dinner the group recited the Pledge of Allegiance and sang “God Bless America” with Charlotte Johnson accompanying on the piano. Card secretary Mary Taylor reported that she sent cards to Art Smith, Carolyn Bibler, and Helen Wollard. Politicians running for office in the upcoming election introduced themselves and told what offices they were running for.

Logan Middle School vocal ensemble, under the direction of Susan Kendig and Zane Murrey, did a great job of entertaining the crowd. Door prizes were won by many of those attending.

There will not be a Friday night carry-in dinner in the months of January, February and March. The next carry-in dinner will be on Dec. 7 at 5 p.m. with the Logan Middle School Choraliers providing the entertainment. Also, Santa will be making a visit.
