Purple Clovers 4-H Pride supply drive benefits Humane Society

On Saturday, June 19, from 10 a.m.–1 p.m., Purple Clovers 4-H Pride Club is hosting a community service project at Tractor Supply Company, 28 Hocking Mall in Logan to collect pet food and supplies to benefit the Hocking County Humane Society. The club will be at the front entrance collecting donations of puppy, dog, kitten and cat food, large size disposable gloves, pet toys, hand soap, sanitizer, and cash.

Rolling Hills 4-H Club

On Monday, May 24, the Rolling Hills 4-H Club met at the Shepherd of the Valley United Brethren Church. The meeting was called to order by vice president Tristan McDaniel. The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Rozalin White and the 4-H Pledge was led by Blaze Fortune. The health report was given by Emma Barnett on “Why It’s Important to Drink Water,” and the safety report was given by Brenna Schluep on “Cross-Contamination.”

Fundraisers were due at this meeting. Skillathon is Saturday, July 10, and club membere should remember they are required to go to at least one. The club trip has been tentatively placed for Saturday, Aug. 7. Those who ordered t-shirts will have them arriving soon. 4-H camp will now be overnight as per the new COVID–19 guidelines.

Next meeting will be Tuesday, June 15 at 6:30 p.m. at the Shepherd of the Valley United Brethren Church. Demonstrations will be given by Dustin Barnett, Emma Barnett, Shiloh Brandon, Addie Gray, Tristan McDaniel, Eden Ricketts, Brenna Schluep, Grace Sigler, and Rozalin White.
