LOGAN – The Merchant’s Bank of Logan announced their end-of-year donation to the Logan Theater and Community Arts Center. The Merchant’s Bank of Logan has been an invested partner in the Logan Theater Renovation Project. Their support continues with an end-of-year donation to the project.
Greg Vermillion, commercial loan officer at Merchant’s Bank states, “We feel the theater project is a solid project that the bank can get behind and help make a difference to our downtown. We are a community focused bank and we want to do our part in growing our community.”
Sheila Wolfe, executive director of the Logan Theater and Community Arts Center, said she is extremely grateful for the bank’s involvement with the project. “We have been amazed at how our community has helped us through a very difficult year of fundraising,” Wolfe said. “Our biggest goal was to keep construction moving so the Logan-Hocking School District and The Hocking County Children’s Chorus could begin using the building. Most grant applications did not come through because funds were re-appropriated for COVID-19, but many individuals and businesses stepped up to fill that void. Through all the hassle, struggle and heartache of 2020, we were reminded of the good that comes from our community. We are very excited to be able to give back soon to our community through programs that will be offered by the LHSD and the HCCC, and the theater once finished.”
