LOGAN — Residents in South Logan will encounter a water service interruption beginning Wednesday and continuing through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Water will be restored each day as work has been completed.
The reason for the interruption is for the 2020 water improvement project, cut and cap old water main and replace fire hydrant. A boil advisory will be in effect on Wednesday once the water is restored and will continue through Friday when sample results come back negative.
The areas affected by the interruption include: Gertrude Avenue; Elizabeth; Marla; Hobart; Huntley; Betty; Louise; Florence Avenue; Ruth; Nickle Plate Road; Mae Street; Walhonding Avenue; Mohican; Baird Street; Wyandotte Avenue; Wilson; Summit; Northwest.
Altogether 354 service connections will be affected.
Customers may experience discolored water and/or air in lines.
