Carl P. Edgar, 84, of Logan, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Aug. 30, 1937, in Smithville, Ohio, the son of the late John and Kenova (Colllins) Edgar. He was married for 60 years to Joyce (Riddle) Edgar, who survives.
Carl proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a devoted patriot. He loved his country and served it with honor and was passionate about keeping its freedoms. He and his wife lived for 60 years in the Oberlin-Wellington, Ohio area. He retired after 30 years with the Ford Motor Assembly Plant in Lorain, Ohio. Carl loved to be doing anything outdoors and loved to get his hands dirty.
In addition to his wife, Carl is survived by his children, Diana Pinkstock of Newark, Terri (Timothy) Poling of Logan, and Jason (Cheryl) Edgar of Logan; nine grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ralph Edgar.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan.
