The Logan Junior High 7th and 8th grade girls’ basketball teams both won against Nelsonville Saturday, the 7th graders by a score of 29-14, and the 8th graders by 36-19.

For the 7th graders, Claire Warren led the team in scoring with 10 points, and also grabbed three rebounds. Kyli Straus put up eight points with two assists and four rebounds, and Ryann Landis scored five with four rebounds.

Rounding out the point total for Logan were Ava Nihiser and Jenna McVey with four and two points respectively; McVey pulled down four rebounds while Nihiser had three assists.

In the 8th grade win, Kinsey Myer’s 12 points made her the team’s top scorer; she also had three assists and two rebounds.

Close behind in scoring were MacKenzie Daubenmire and Josie Sigler with 10 and nine points respectively. Daubenmire pulled down 10 rebounds and Sigler two.

Maria Starner scored three points with one assist and two rebounds to her credit. Kaylee Starkey scored two and took two rebounds.
