ALBANY — Logan’s seventh-grade and eighth-grade soccer teams concluded their respective seasons over the weekend with defeats in the Alexander Junior High soccer tournament.

The eighth-grade team lost 4-3 to South Webster on Saturday and fell 3-2 to Athens on Sunday, taking third place in the tournament and finishing its season with a 12-5-1 record.

Avery Cook-Porter, Mollie Landis and Emerson Sowers all scored a goal and Jordan Leavitt made six saves in the loss to South Webster. Ayden St. Clair and Sowers found the back of the net and Leavitt again made six saves in Sunday’s match against Athens.

Ryan Myers, Bradyn Halley, Karson Harris and Landon Frasure were lauded by the coaches for playing standout games over the weekend.

The seventh-grade Chiefs completed their season with a 2-0 loss to Minford on Saturday.

Paige Magdich, Gabby Munday and Josiah Gentzel were all credited with playing solid games for the seventh-graders, who finished their campaign with a 3-8-7 slate.
