VINCENT — Warren’s junior varsity girls basketball team is a perfect 6-0 on the season for a reason: they’re really good.
The Logan Lady Chiefs stayed with the Lady Warriors for a half before the home team pulled away in the third quarter and claimed a 44-25 victory Thursday night.
Logan (1-2) led 7-6 after one quarter and maintained the lead early in the second stanza before the Lady Warriors got the last nine points of the half to take a 19-11 edge into the mid-game break.
Warren then outscored Logan 16-3 in the third quarter to establish a 35-14 advantage.
Caroline Tier paced the Lady Chiefs with 10 points, with Emma McKinney scoring eight, Abby Smith four, Anna Mulrooney two and Alivia Magdich one.
Sophia Cochran and Olivia Congleton led the winners with 11 and 10 points, respectively, and Hollis Sturgill contributed six.
The Lady Chiefs return home to take on Circleville Tuesday (6 p.m.) in Jim Myers Gymnasium.
