LOGAN – Monday was Senior Night for the Logan High School girls’ tennis team, and senior Arizona Hamm was honored before the team’s match at home against Watkins Memorial Hamm won her match after having had a close loss to Abby Grove from Watkins earlier in the season. Despite some inspired tennis by the Lady Chieftains, they were edged by Watkins Memorial 3-2. Also winning for Logan were the 1st doubles team of Nevaeh Blystone and Josie Sigler, who also had had a close loss to Watkins earlier in the season.

First singles – Arizona Hamm (senior for Logan) defeated Abby Grove (senior for Watkins Memorial) 7-6 (3), 6-2.
Second singles – Abigail Richardson (junior for Watkins Memorial) defeated Madachi Roberts (junior for Logan) 6-0, 6-0.
Third singles – Katie Clippinger (senior for Watkins Memorial) defeated Alayna Blanchard (junior for Logan) 6-0, 6-0.
First doubles – Nevaeh Blystone (junior for Logan) and Josie Sigler (freshman for Logan) defeated Terah Severance (sophomore for Watkins Memorial) and Claudia Shar (sophomore for Watkins Memorial) 6-3, 6-4.
Second doubles – Haley Lorenz (senior for Watkins Memorial) and Abbey Ransom (senior for Watkins Memorial) defeated Isabel Nutter (junior for Logan) and Megan Karns (junior for Logan) 6-2, 6-3.
