LOGAN — A mandatory parent-athlete meeting for Logan High School and Logan-Hocking Middle School student-athletes will be held Monday, Nov. 4 (6 p.m.) in the LHS theater.
These meetings are mandated by both the Ohio High School Athletic Association and the Logan-Hocking School District, according to Theresa Schultheiss, LHS activities director.
Schultheiss noted that athletes entering grades seven through 12 who plan to participate in a winter sport who did not play a fall sport must attend both the OHSAA meeting and the appropriate team meeting that will follow and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Those who played fall sports won’t need to attend the OHSAA meeting but will need to attend the team meeting.
Both the parent/guardian and athlete will be required to sign in for these meetings and should expect these meetings to last at least one hour.
Individual team meetings (boys basketball, girls basketball, boys bowling, girls bowling, wrestling, basketball cheerleaders, high school archery and gymnastics) will follow the OHSAA meeting. Athletes who do not attend will not be eligible to play winter sports.
