LOGAN — The Logan eighth grade Lady Chiefs volleyball team swept Jackson in two sets 25-3 and 25-9.

Natalie Pierce led the team with 14 aces, Ava Swope with three aces and Ella Ditty, Jenna Dearth and Laurel Long with an ace each. Long, Pierce, Haley Nunley and Makenzie Daubenmire all contributed one kill each. Zoe Green added a nice dig to round off the evening. The eighth grade Lady Chiefs are now 6-0 on the season.

The seventh grade volleyball team defeated Jackson in two sets — 25-9 and 25-15.

Makenzie Muncie led the team in aces with seven, followed by Ava Nihiser with six, Avery Moore with five, Kaelyn Ogg with four, Ryann Landis with three and Kyla Sigafoose with one. Nihiser and Jennie Funk had four kills each along with Landis with two and Sigafoose with one. Emma Williams and Nihiser added two digs each. The seventh grade team is now 6-0 on the season.

The girls play Vinton County at home on Saturday.
