ZANESVILLE – The Logan High School girls’ tennis lost a match 4-1 at Zanesville Saturday.

Individual match results

First singles — Emperia Johnson (junior for Zanesville) defeated Arizona Hamm (senior for Logan) 4-6, 7-6 (5), 10-7 (a super tiebreaker was played in lieu of a 3rd set).

Second singles — Amya Yockey (senior for Zanesville) defeated Madachi Roberts (junior for Logan) 6-0, 6-1

Third singles — Rosie Toombs (sophomore for Zanesville) defeated Nevaeh Hempker (freshman for Logan) 6-0, 6-1

First doubles — Jersey Draughn (sophomore for Zanesville) and Kammie Simon (sophomore for Zanesville) defeated Nevaeh Blystone (junior for Logan) and Josie Sigler (freshman for Logan) 6-1, 6-2.

Second doubles — Megan Karns (junior for Logan) and Isabel Nutter (junior for Logan) defeated Chloe VanFossen (freshman for Zanesville) and Blain Lowe (freshman for Zanesville) 6-1, 6-1.

Next match for Logan is today (Tuesday, Sept. 14) at 4:30 p.m. at home against Athens.
