LOGAN — Making their final home game of the season a winning one, the Logan seventh-grade girls basketball team thumped visiting Vinton County 36-9 on Wednesday.

The Logan girls thus take a 9-2 record into their final four games, all of them on the road, beginning Saturday at Athens.

It was 11-3 after one quarter and 25-3 at halftime as the Logan girls rolled to victory.

Makenzie Daubenmire had 15 points and eight rebounds for the winners, with Danika Mahaffey scoring six, Sophie Swope and Kaylee Starkey five apiece, Josie Sigler three and Kinsey Myers two. Mahaffey had five assists and Myers handed out four.
