CIRCLEVILLE — After sustaining their first loss of the season two nights earlier, the Logan eighth-grade soccer team bounced back for a 7-2 victory at Circleville on Wednesday.

Emerson Sowers had a hat trick and contributed two assists for the Chieftains (3-1), with Ryan Myers scoring twice and Mollie Landis and C.J. Robers both tallying once. Ayden St. Clair and Avery Cook-Porter both had an assist and Jordan Leavitt made three saves.

Jaxon Lytle, Bryce Smith and St. Clair were credited with playing solid games.

Karson Harris scored twice and Myers added a goal in a 4-3 loss at Athens on Monday. Sowers and Landon Frasure both had a scoring helper and Leavitt made six saves.

The Logan coaches praised Sowers, Lytle and St. Clair for their efforts.

Athens shut out the Logan seventh-grade team (1-1-1) 3-0 that same evening.

Braden Harper had six saves for the Chiefs, with Janice Zaayer, Paige Magdich and Bryce Smith all turning in fine performances.
