LOGAN — Both of Logan's junior high football teams dropped games to visiting Chillicothe earlier this week.

The seventh-grade Chiefs (1-2) fell 24-12 on Wednesday while the eighth-graders (0-3) dropped a 40-0 decision the previous evening.

"We didn’t play very well," said Logan seventh-grade coach Keith Wilson. "We had trouble sustaining offensive drives. Little mistakes I thought we had gotten over popped back up. Defensively, again issues we believed to be behind us caught us, like poor tackling and missed assignments.

"We played better second half, starting with a defensive stop and returning the punt for a touchdown," he added. "We did play better but was still unable to overcome little mistakes."

Austin Weinsziehr scored both touchdowns on a punt return and a run, rushing for 41 yards and passing for 91.

Kaden Morgan had 74 receiving yards, 20 yards rushing, and registered three sacks on defense and Jacob Kahrig had 21 reception yards.

Both JH teams travel to Zanesville next Saturday.
