WELLSTON — Nine different girls scored and the Logan Lady Chiefs led from the very outset in rolling up a 34-6 seventh-grade basketball win Thursday at Wellston.
Logan improved to 11-2 on the season by posting quarter leads of 8-0, 23-4 and 31-6.
Mackenzie Daubenmire and Danika Mahaffey led a balanced scoring attack with eight points, with Josie Sigler and Kaylee Starkey both adding four, Sophie Swope three, Riley Hackney, Macie Mauck and Kinsey Myers two apiece, and Maria Starner one.
Daubenmire also had 11 rebounds and blocked three shots for the winners while Mahaffey had seven boards, five steals and a pair of assists. Myers dished out four scoring feeds and had three steals, Starner grabbed five rebounds, Hackney had four caroms and Sigler had a pair of scoring passes.
