PICKERINGTON — A tough third quarter spelled defeat for the Logan eighth-grade girls basketball team in its first game of the new year on Saturday.
Homestanding Pickerington Ridgeview broke open a close game by outscoring the Logan girls 16-0 in the third quarter en route to a 41-10 triumph.
Logan (3-5) trailed 5-2 after one quarter and 14-6 at the half.
Mollie Landis had eight of Logan’s points and Abby Tier added two, with Tier also registering a pair of assists.
The eighth-grade team plays at Lancaster Ewing Wednesday and Nelsonville-York Thursday before returning home next week for its final two home games of the season against Alexander (Monday) and Vinton County (Wednesday).
